20th Anniversary Challenge Grant

Donate $1,000 or more in 2008
to any land protection project or fund!

This year, thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor and in recognition of SLT’s upcoming 20th anniversary, a $100,000 Challenge Grant has been established to encourage gifts of $1,000 or more.

The challenge will match the increase in giving over 2007
of contributors who make gifts of $1,000 or greater in 2008.

For example:

If you gave $100 in 2007 and you give $1,000 in 2008,
the Challenge will match $900 of your gift;

If you gave $1,000 in 2007 and you give $5,000 in 2008,
the Challenge will match $4,000 of your gift.

This is an all or nothing challenge. SLT must raise
the entire $100,000 to be eligible for the grant.

Pledges count, too! Pledges meeting the above criteria submitted
during 2008 and fulfilled before SLT’s 20th anniversary annual meeting
in June, 2009 are also eligible to be matched.

For example:

If you gave $100 in 2007 and you make a 2-year pledge in 2008
of $500 in 2008 and $500 by June, 2009,
the Challenge will match $900 of your gift;

If you gave $1,000 in 2007 and you make a 2-year pledge in 2008
of $2,500 in 2008 and $2,500 by June, 2009,
the Challenge will match $4,000 of your gift.
